Rosimeiry is an ecological economist and the senior director and lead of the economics team at Conservation International. Her research focuses on nature's provision of ecosystem services and their contribution to human well-being. She also works on the development and application of decision-supporting tools that are designed to enhance the understanding and measurement of ecosystem services and their contribution to economies.
She is the co-principal investigator of a pilot research project on the implementation of experimental ecosystems accounting in Peru (EVA project), and lead of the technical group developing the Natural Capital Protocol, a framework for businesses to integrate natural capital information into their management and decision-making processes. Originally from Brazil, Rosimeiry earned a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland.
