Chief People Officer
As Chief People Officer, Kim Keating is responsible for developing and executing a global human resource strategy in support of Conservation International’s mission and strategic priorities, specifically in the areas of diversity, equity and inclusion; talent management; organizational development; training and development; and compensation, benefits and office administration.

In her role, Kim develops workforce plans and programs that align with Conservation International’s strategic objectives. She forecasts global talent needs, addresses talent gaps, and orchestrates learning skills and career development of the workforce. She is also responsible for employee orientation, education, training, management development, employee relations, policies and procedures, and office administration. Previously, Kim served as Chief Human Resources Officer of the YMCA in Central Maryland.  

Prior to joining the Y in Central Maryland, Kim founded and managed Keating Advisors, an HR consulting firm that specializes in compensation, organizational development and performance management. Kim led a team of consultants that have been supporting nonprofit organizations in developing effective talent management strategies for over 20 years.  

Kim holds an M.B.A. from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration and a B.B.A. in Finance from Southern Methodist University.
