Giti Tire
Since 2011, Giti Tire Company, Ltd. has provided support for Conservation International‘s freshwater conservation work in China in the critically threatened Yangtze river basin as well as our global outreach hub in Singapore to support raising the profile of sustainability among regional business and policy leaders.
Giti Tire previously supported our conservation projects in northern Sumatra, Indonesia and southwest China. The projects protected the habitat of threatened species such as the Sumatran orangutan in Indonesia and giant pandas in southwest China, and replanted forest areas while helping reduce levels of CO2 that cause climate change.
Giti Tire supported Conservation International by bidding at the Monaco Blue Auction in 2007 to help develop Marine Protected Areas in the Raja Ampat region of Indonesia‘s Papua province.
Dr. Enki Tan, Executive Chairman of Giti Tire, serves on Conservation International's Board of Directors.
