Meet this women’s soap-making group on the Fam Islands in Indonesia. These women sell soap in four fragrances: lime, jasmine, lemongrass and curcuma heyneana, an aromatic tuber related to turmeric and ginger. This small business has helped the women earn income for themselves — and they’re using it to prepare nutritious meals for all of the school kids in town.
We believe strongly in the power of visual storytelling to educate, inspire and effect change. Conservation International's filmmakers spotlight the people, challenges and successful projects that our programs are pioneering. Watch, share and reach out if you would like to learn more.
