Conservation International research found that restoring grasslands in Kenya’s Chyulu Hills not only helps to slow climate change — it also leads to less human-wildlife conflict. To date, we have restored 15,000 hectares (37,000 acres) of degraded grasslands alongside local communities.
Conservation International, as a core member of the Blue Nature Alliance, supported the French Polynesia government’s commitment to protect 100% of its marine territory — safeguarding vibrant biodiversity and local livelihoods for generations to come.
Konservasi Indonesia (Conservation International’s in-country partner) piloted a novel approach to shrimp farming that restores mangroves and improves incomes — which led to a tenfold increase in production.
Conservation International led a team of Peruvian scientists on an ecological survey. Supported by expert Indigenous guides with deep understanding of the landscape, the expedition documented 307 species new to the Alto Mayo region.
