Kehau Springer
Kehau Springer works in Hawaii, her home state, as a fishing community partnership specialist. In her role, she works with Hawaii’s fishing communities by supporting a traditional, holistic monitoring system to better understand their environment and resources, and to support community-based marine resource management. Kehau is fluent in Hawaiian and specializes in the intertidal ecosystems of Hawaii and traditional Hawaiian knowledge. From the University of Hawaii at Hilo, she earned both her BA in Hawaiian studies and her MS in tropical conservation biology and environmental science.
