Lui-Walton Amazonia Bioeconomy Fellow

Beto de Andrade leads development of the Amazonia Bioeconomy Investment Strategy for Conservation International — working to finance the conservation, restoration and sustainable management of Amazonia at scale.

With a background in alternative asset management at firms like ItaúBBA, Bank of America and Apollo Global Management, de Andrade shifted his focus to nature-based solutions. He founded Boa (formerly Veranda), to build nature-positive companies, advise climate-focused clients, and guide investments in oceans, regenerative agriculture, and sustainable development. He holds a degree from FGV EAESP and an MBA from Yale, where he also taught and served as a John M. Olin Fellow in economics.
