Ashleigh McGovern
Ashleigh McGovern leads multi-disciplinary teams to design and implement nature-based solutions to the complex problems facing our ocean and climate today.
Ashleigh McGovern has worked at Conservation International for more than 12 years, now leading the Center for Oceans. During her tenure, she has led the development of global partnerships that improve ocean health for people and nature, including the Coral Reefs on the High Seas Coalition and the Blue Nature Alliance.
She holds an MA from Carnegie Mellon’s School of Public Policy and Management and a certificate in design thinking. She also cofounded em·data, inc, which co-designs data solutions for the public and private sectors.
