Donor-Advised Funds

Donor-advised funds (DAFs) have grown in popularity in recent years as a way set aside charitable funds in advance. When you contribute to a DAF, you can secure an immediate tax deduction while you consider when and where to make your donations. Several community foundations and financial institutions offer the opportunity to create a DAF. A DAF gives you the flexibility to recommend how much and how often money is granted to Conservation International. You can recommend a one-time grant or recurring grants which help you to make an immediate impact. You can also use this fund as a tool to plan future charitable gifts.

If you have a DAF with Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, or BNY Mellon, you can make your grant recommendation to Conservation International Foundation through the DAF Direct online form (embedded on this page). If your DAF is not listed here, please contact your adviser at your DAF sponsoring organization directly to make your recommendation.

We love to hear from you—notifying us of an incoming gift from your donor-advised fund helps us process and attribute it more quickly. If you’re planning to make a gift or your gift has a special designation, please get in touch to let us know. Contact Mallory Henig at 703-341-2409 or giving@conservation.org.

Consider a gift for later

You can also have a lasting impact by naming Conservation International as a beneficiary of your donor-advised fund. It’s a great way to ensure that whatever money remains at the end of your life goes to a cause you care about.
