Kellee Koenig’s role at Conservation International focuses on the cartographic production of high-level map products, GIS, cartographic training and support, and spatial data management. The over 1,000 maps produced to date by Miss Koenig are used for scientific publications, communications materials, presentations, and proposals. She garnered an award in 2007 from the Cartographic Special Interest Group at the Esri International Users Conference for her map of global loggerhead sea turtle nesting beaches. A native of Costa Mesa, California, Miss Koenig studied Geographic Information Systems (GIS) at Brigham Young University. Prior to joining CI in 2004, she interned in the Maps Division at National Geographic while they were working on the 8th edition of the World Atlas.
