Koenig has produced more than 1,500 maps to date for Conservation International’s scientific publications, communications materials, presentations and proposals. Koenig's current projects span diverse geospatial applications — including analyzing supply chains and identifying sustainability risks and nature-based opportunities for the coffee and fashion sectors. Her recent research focuses on offline field mapping apps for applications, including E.U. Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) compliance and restoration, and the complementary role of satellite-based tools. Additionally, she advises on monitoring the Regenerative Fund for Nature's portfolio.
In her daily work, she finds fulfillment in sharing software tips with colleagues to enhance their productivity and create visually appealing maps.
