Adapting Tuna-dependent Pacific Island Communities and Economies to Climate Change

 

Objectives: Making tuna-dependent Pacific Island economies and communities more resilient to climate change by supporting national efforts to increase coastal community access to tuna; improving the distribution and processing of bycatch to support urban communities; and developing an Advanced Warning System to better forecast changes in tuna biomass distribution, creating an economic planning tool to reduce economic risks from climate driven redistribution of tuna stocks.
