Conservation International (CI) is a global environmental nonprofit organization founded in 1987. Working across more than 30 countries with a team of over 1,400 staff, CI uses a combination of science, partnership, and on-the-ground field demonstrations to protect the ecosystems that sustain human life. CI's global efforts are focused on three core pillars: climate change mitigation (natural climate solutions and carbon markets), large-scale ocean conservation (marine protected areas and sustainable fisheries), and biodiversity protection (supporting the global 30x30 goal and restoring ecosystems).
