Caura River Expedition Day 6

November 30, 2000

Jensen Montambault

Nationality: United States
Specialty: Environmental Writing

Jensen graduated from the University of Virginia in 1995 with degrees in Environmental Science and English. She served in the Peace Corps as an environmental education volunteer in rural Nicaragua, and is currently the Program Coordinator for the Rapid Assessment Program at Conservation International, which encompasses both aquatic and terrestrial RAP's.

"My favorite experience on this AquaRAP was watching the full moon rise over the Five Thousand Island Rapids, while chatting with the Ye'kwana about their river and impressions of us. They told me this was the first time many of them had ever worked with foreigners. And, although they sounded surprised, they said we were very good people!"
