Judith Rosales
Nationality: Venezuela
Specialty: Riparian Vegetation
Judith returned to Venezuela in September after receiving her doctorate in Ecohydrological Approach for Riparian Forest Biodiversity Conservation in Large Rivers from Birmingham University in England. She is currently working for the Universidad Experimental de Guayana as Coordinator of the post-graduate studies in Environmental Science and belongs to the Center for Ecological Research in the Venezuelan Guayana region.
"As I wrote in my thesis, I recognized there is great opportunity for conservation analysis in large rivers with protocols such as AquaRAP when you use indicator groups such as the Ingeae tribe species along the riparian corridors. I had also thought that sampling could be done in each sector of the river defined by hydrogeomorphological variation."
Judith plans to continue with her on-going project to analyze the riparian vegetation of the río Caura.
