Teresa Castillejos joins CELB from our CI-Mexico office and has jumped straight into managing a critical piece of our Starbucks partnership – developing and implementing the field survey side of the C.A.F.E. Practices results assessment. Her knowledge of coffee and supply chain management is a true asset for our team.
Teresa worked in the CI-Mexico field office in Chiapas for the past 6 years as the Coordinator of the Conservation Coffee Program and socioeconomic development. She has a deep knowledge of all things coffee – from the farm to the cup and understands the different links of the value chain, and has experience working with Exportation Companies, social cooperatives, NGOs and governments. Most recently she has been working with Goetz Schroth in CI’s sustainable land use team to identify opportunities to develop forest carbon offsets with coffee producers and has participated in different workshops related to climate change and coffee hosted by CATIE.
