CCX Colombia (formerly part of MPX Colombia) is a subsidiary of the Brazilian EBX Group, which invests in the production and marketing of natural resources (such as coal and gas), logistics for asset operations as well as generation and sale of electricity from additional resources such as solar and/or wind energy.
April 2011 -
Conservation International Colombia and MPX signed an agreement of an initial grant of US$ 1.7 million dollars from MPX to start an integrated work process that seeks to conserve 1,100 hectares (2,718 acres) of the last tropical dry forest in Northern Colombia.
The intent of this agreement is to lead to the creation of an Endowment Fund for Protected Areas that will promote conservation of tropical dry forests in the Colombian Caribbean region.
