Victor Arrington is Senior Vice President, Conservation International Center for Environmental Leadership in Business, leading a team of experts engaged with corporations to minimize environmental impacts and to harness private sector ingenuity on behalf of healthy ecosystems and human well-being.
Vic has a diverse background in the private and nonprofit sectors in the U.S. and around the world. He began his private sector career with Citibank in Muscat, Oman, where he was responsible for corporate and government lending, in addition to interbank and foreign exchange trading. Following Citibank, Vic worked five years with the consulting firm, McKinsey and company serving clients around the world on issues of strategy, organization and operations. From 1982-1990 Vic was a marketing executive in the cable television industry, first with Cox Communications and later serving as the Deputy General Manager for France’s largest broadband company. In 1990, Vic created Arrington International to serve communication companies in Europe and the USA, which was later expanded to include major nonprofits.
Vic led a major project on bio diesel for a major extractives company operating in West Africa, served as a senior advisor to Redstone Consulting for the Greater Yellowstone Region, and conducted a productivity improvement study for a major North American coal mine. Vic served as a Senior Director with the Clinton Climate Initiative where he was responsible for promoting energy efficiency with global real estate companies. He later served as Executive Vice President of Future Generations, leading environmental programs in China and community development programs in India, Afghanistan, and Peru.
Vic has an MBA from Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, a Masters degree from Temple University in French language and Literature, and a BA in History and Language from Juniata College.
