Climate Science and Knowledge

High quality science is the foundation of all of CI's climate change work. Our scientists and research partners produce scientific information that:

• Helps us understand how climate change will affect ecosystems and communities in specific regions
• Aids policymakers in developing the most effective climate policies and conservation responses
• Allows us to monitor climate change impacts on an ongoing basis

Together, CI and our partners are creating and refining tools to assess the current and predicted impacts of climate change; determining the most effective mitigation strategies; and testing out adaptation solutions in critical regions. These tools are being shared across institutions and are helping to inform bold actions at the local, national and international levels.
