SC Johnson

SC Johnson was a founding Team Earth partner whose support helped develop our original Team Earth initiative designed to encourage individuals to take positive action for the environment, as well as the new Team Earth storytelling platform.

SC Johnson also invested in CI’s climate change efforts and supported our efforts to expand the market for carbon offsets. They participated in the Climate, Community and Biodiversity Alliance, a group of companies and NGOs committed to developing tools to combat climate change, while contributing to biodiversity conservation and sustainable development. In 2004, SC Johnson invested $50,000 in CI's carbon offset project in Ecuador to offset the carbon impacts associated with the printing and distribution of their Public Report. In 2005, SC Johnson made a second investment to offset the carbon impacts associated with the printing and distribution of their 2005 Public Report, and to help fund the protection of Madagascar's Northeastern forests.

SC Johnson is one of the world’s leading makers of household products. Dr. Fisk Johnson, SC Johnson’s Chairman, served on the Executive Committee for CI’s Center for Environmental Leadership in Business for several years and was on CI’s Board of Directors from 2002-2011.
