Giti Tire Corporation is a member of the Asia-Pacific Business & Sustainability Council, for business leaders committed to implementing and promoting social, economic and environmental sustainability in the Asia-Pacific region. In 2010, Giti Tire hosted the fall APBSC meeting on communicating sustainability issues, which featured the Indonesian Minister of Trade, Ms. Mari Pangestu, among others.
2011 – Giti Tire provided support for CI’s freshwater conservation work in China in the critically threatened Yangtze river basin as well as CI’s global outreach hub in Singapore to support raising the profile of sustainability among regional business and policy leaders.
2007 – Giti Tire supported CI's conservation projects in northern Sumatra, Indonesia, and southwest China. The projects protect the habitat of threatened species such as the Sumatran orangutan in Indonesia and giant pandas in southwest China, and replants forest areas while helping reduce levels of CO2 that cause climate change.
Giti Tire has previously supported CI’s work, bidding at the Monaco Blue Auction in September 2007 to help develop Marine Protected Areas in the Raja Ampat region of Indonesia’s Papua province.
