In June 2008, the Bank of America Charitable Foundation gave a $1 million grant to CI’s Center for Environmental Leadership in Business to promote private-sector environmental stewardship. The grant was part of Bank of America’s $20 billion, 10-year environmental initiative to reduce climate change through lending, investing, the creation of new products and services, philanthropy and operations.
