Amyttacta farrelli

This species of katydid which is new to science cannot fly, and tends to be associated with the grasses in subtropical regions of South Africa.

The males are very loud, and produce a song that cannot be heard by the human ear (ultrasonic). Their diet consists of flowers and the seeds of grasses.
