Spreading the word about marine conservation

Conserving the ocean is a big job, and CI can't do it alone. That's why we've created a communications plan that can influence government leaders, rally public engagement and inspire marine conservation worldwide. Our communication efforts are focused on creating change. We inform partners, and the public, of the pressures leading to the decline of ocean health and offer local, regional and global solutions to relive those pressures. Our mission is to empower stakeholders to take the necessary actions that will result in a healthy and productive ocean to future generations.

In addition to our general outreach work, four efforts in particular are designed to get people involved in the protection of our ocean – and the incredible species that live there. These efforts engage a range of decision makers, from government policy makers to local consumers.
