Our portfolio includes development and implementation of the conservation agreement approach in 17 countries to date.
We are also exploring mechanisms to help sustain these important agreements, particularly the creation of endowments to guarantee long-term benefit provision, management and monitoring. Other mechanisms include payments for ecosystem services such as carbon sequestration and watershed maintenance, and partnerships with private partners to sponsor annual agreement costs.
