This month, CI is teaming up with Disney’s Friends for Change and the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund to launch the Every Duck Counts campaign to raise awareness and support for CI’s Freshwater Initiative. In addition to getting the word out about the need for conservation through Disney’s popular new game “Where’s My Water?,” the company is making a generous donation of $50,000 to CI’s freshwater work.
From now until the end of February, players using the free online or mobile versions of "Where's My Water?" will learn about freshwater, water-saving actions and species that depend on fresh water in CI’s project areas.
A fun yet challenging physics-based puzzle game, “Where’s My Water?” features Swampy the Alligator and his quest to get access to clean water (and rubber duckies!) so he can take a shower. Players are encouraged to collect as many ducks within the game as possible to make a statement about the importance of protecting freshwater resources around the world. A counter on CI's Facebook page is tallying the number of ducks collected.
