David de Rothschild is a British adventurer and environmentalist who founded Adventure Ecology, an inspiring organization that strives to raise awareness of environmental and social issues while driving innovative, real world solutions.  He has undertaken numerous expeditions around the globe to far flung places severely threatened by climate change from the Arctic to Antarctica.  In 2010 he and a crew crossed the Pacific in the Plastiki, a 60 foot catamaran made of over 12,500 plastic bottles.  His work reflects CI’s innovative approach to ensuring that nature must be protected in order for people to thrive.
