Shown in the map above, 183,000 km2 Bird’s Head Seascape is located on the northwest coast of the island of New Guinea in Indonesia’s Papua Province. The three most important sites for conservation in the Bird’s Head include the Raja Ampat archipelago, Cenderawasih Bay, and Triton Bay.
