There are very few places in the world that still shelter extraordinary natural riches. Tambopata, in the Peruvian Amazon, is one of them. In 1990, Tambopata Candamo was declared a Reserved Zone, a temporary protected area. However, the negative impact of development has begun to reach the region making it critical to establish a national park in the area and protect it permanently.

"Return to Tambopata" invites the audience to join the narrator in an intimate journey. Inspired by the memories of his grandmother, a native from the Amazon, he travels and discovers the region for the first time. While he shares impressions and feelings, the images reveal the majesty of the forest, the life of the nut collectors and the challenge it represents for its inhabitants.
