Our partnership with Aveda Corporation is focused on supporting CI's biodiversity conservation efforts.

Since 1997, Aveda's partnership with CI has helped to strengthen communities and the local Brazil nut industry in Peru's Tambopata-Candamo reserve zone by creating a new use for a Brazil nut by-product in Aveda hair-care products.

Aveda supported and played a role in CI's conservation enterprise development training workshop for representatives from nine Latin American countries in Bolivia in 2001.

With the support of CI, Aveda helped to capitalize an independently operated business, Profores, in Puerto Maldonado, Peru to produce and market sustainable rainforest products.
