Field Accounting Manager
The Field Accountant is responsible for reviewing the accuracy of field’s financial transactions, coordinating month-end and year-end closing processes; assisting Accountants in the field offices in various areas to achieve the two-week close schedule; ensuring that accounting data from field offices is accurately integrated into CI’s Worldwide books in a timely manner; reviewing field’s audit schedules on a monthly basis; preparing field office wire transfer request forms and sending monthly advances to the fields; assisting in reviewing fringe benefit expenses at year-end; assisting in preparations of year-end Audit schedules. Field Accountant will be required to occasionally travel to the field offices to perform financial review. Assist the Field Accounting Manager in various areas as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Review monthly fields’ transactions and run exception reports in each field Set of Books before month-end close. Open/Close accounting periods in field Sets of Books (AP & GL). Key in Balance Sheet and Income Statement rates.

Prepare Field Office Wire Transfer Request form and sends monthly field office advances

Review field monthly audit schedules to make sure fields are in compliance with CI Policy and US GAAP

Review fringe benefit expenses at year-end and process adjustments. Review year-end revenue recognition entries in the field set of books and prepare opposing entries for US books. Participate in preparation of year-end Audit schedules.

Set-up new Oracle employee codes for the fields. Set-up Consultant and External Grant numbers in Oracle

Assist field offices in maintaining time recodring software Click-time appropriately, i.e. creating new employees, donor, run reports from Click-time

Occasional travel to the fields to help with books cleaning as well as providing perform financial review and help with books cleaning.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor's degree
Required Skills:
- Accounting experience in non-for-profit, at least 1 year field experience .
