Conservation International's seeks a mid-level candidate to join communications and marketing team for our corporate partnerships division.  We are looking for an experienced, creative, and multi-skilled Account Manager to support the day-to-day management of the marketing & communications aspects of our top corporate partnerships. As part of our larger corporate engagement strategy, this candidate will work with leading brands to strengthen and advance CI’s own brand awareness, gather consumer research, and support the institutional goal of achieving a new global conservation ethic by engaging consumers and employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Position will support supervisor and account leads to execute high profile, consumer facing marketing and communications campaigns/programs/projects with CI’s corporate partners. 
  • Position will interface with multiple divisions within CI as well as with corporate and NGO partners to ensure successful project implementation from strategy to creative development to daily management requirements. 

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Serve as day-to-day liaison between CI and corporate partners and lead contact for miscellaneous partner requests
  • Support the development of proposals and presentations for current and potential corporate partners on communications and marketing initiatives
  • Work with internal teams and corporate partners to develop messaging, collateral materials, and tactics in support of joint consumer and employee facing campaigns
  • Develop project work plans, creative briefs, communications plans & strategies, etc. and assume responsibility for maintaining associated deadlines and budgets
  • Ensure routing of partner materials through required internal departments for review and approval.  Similarly, ensure routing and partner approval of materials that will appear through CI’s communications channels
  • Review, edit and write a variety of editorial content for multiple online and print platforms to illustrate CI’s work with the private sector
  • Monitor, gather, and disseminate relevant consumer polling data and research as it relates to environmental issues and brand trust.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The position will interact daily with the staff of CI's Center for Environmental Leadership in Business, while sharing office space with global communications staff to ensure that we are maximizing communications channels and sharing information.  Some domestic and international travel will be required to meet with corporate partners.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree / 3 years

Required Skills:

  • Three years journalism or public relations experience
  • Excellent writing skills a must
  • Proven ability to generate content for a variety of audiences from the general consumer to knowledgable corporate employee
  • Understanding of how to develop and implement communications strategies and materials designed to reach a variety of audiences
  • Can manage large workload with multiple deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail  
  • Candidate must be have basic knowledge of todays environmental issues

Preferred Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Adobe CS design program platform 
  • Ability to speak Spanish or Portuguese a plus but not required
