The ideal candidate is a work-study student, intern, or volunteer with the skills to help write, edit, and organize content for the conservation eNewsletter. S/he will provide additional editorial and other support on a range of communications tools for CI's regional, global, and internal communications initiatives. Flexible schedule and hours. This position is a 2 days per week position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Help launch new staff eNewsletter by writing, editing, and assembling content
  • Write profiles and obtain photos of staff members who are in the news for Intranet and staff eNewsletter
  • Examine existing information sources and leverage content for staff eNewsletter
  • Proofread and provide other editorial support to team

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Skills:

  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Ability to learn eNewsletter platform and input/format content
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Interest in conservation

Preferred Skills:

  • Foreign language skills a plus (Chinese, Indonesian, Spanish, Portuguese, French)
