This position sets strategies, prioritizes efforts and resources, and is responsible for the success of our web-enabled enterprise applications including our websites and collaboration and knowledge management systems. This position is responsible for leading the ongoing efforts in the research, analysis, implementation, adoption, and training of our web and learning systems. This position assumes overall leadership and management responsibilities, including analyzing system functionality, identifying options and making recommendations, implementing solutions, and supporting user training efforts. This position requires strong project management skills, functional and content expertise, and the ability to facilitate organizational change.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Management

  • Play a significant role in guiding short-term and long-term decision making with regards to our external and internal websites, collaboration, and knowledge management systems
  • Facilitate CI's public website strategy with regard to technical implementation and software issues, and ensure that services support all the priority needs, including both headquarters and field office perspectives
  • Lead project management efforts in the research, analysis, development, training, adoption, budget, and maintenance of web and learning systems

System Process Development, Implementation, and Management

  • Oversee the ongoing operational implementation of systems to ensure they provide users with the intended functionality
  • Apply creative thinking and problem solving skills to ensure operational design and implementation of systems provide users with the intended functionality
  • Responsible for technical implementation of institutional initiatives in knowledge management
  • Identify and implement methods for sharing information online, to support learning, annual planning, and others
  • Influence and in some cases oversee the ongoing training program for end users, including headquarters and field-based staff, to ensure adoption of systems
  • Oversee requirements development and prioritization of new functionality requests
  • Implement the best practices in implementation and development of the learning and website systems
  • Provide technical guidance on and recommend best approaches on new functionality

Vendor Management

  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure project successes and external vendors to ensure timely deliverables

Working Conditions: Occasional travel as the need arises may be required for this position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree/5 years

Required Skills:

  • Experience with SharePoint
  • Experience with SQL Server Knowledge of database fundamentals and organizational data management
  • Knowledge and experience with information systems needs analysis
  • Experience with project management
  • Experience with requirements definition
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate verbally and in writing with functional users, technical specialists, CI management, and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to develop flexible and creative solutions to problems
  • Ability to work well with a broad range of people, cultures, and disciplines
