In October of 2010, world leaders gathered in Nagoya, Japan, for negotiations on the global Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). People from around the world signed this petition to show their support of Conservation International's goal to protect and effectively manage at least 25 percent of Earth's land and inland waters and 15 percent of marine ecosystems by 2020.

The CBD negotiations closed on October 29, 2010.
