Honorable Onkokame Kitso Mokaila

Honorable Onkokame Kitso Mokaila is Botswana Minister of Environment, Wildlife and Tourism (MEWT), a post he has held since 2004. The Ministry's mandate is to protect the environment, to conserve renewable natural resources and to promote tourism investment opportunities to derive maximum socio-economic benefits from the environment and natural resources.

Hon. O.K. Mokaila has a BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering. He graduated from the Military Colledge of Electronic and Mechanical Engineering in India.

He started his working career with Botswana Defence Force from 1980- 1988. He then became the Managing Director of International Computer Limited Botswana (PTY) Ltd from 1988-1996. He joined Hyundai Motor Distributors (PTY) Ltd- Botswana, in 1997-2000. He became the Managing Director for an IT Company known as Unisys Botswana Pty Ltd from 2000- 2002. He later established his own company in 2003 known as Systems Consultancy and Services (PTY) Ltd trading as Unisystems.

Minister Mokaila is married and has two children.
