This map identifies the geographic and thematic biodiversity conservation investment targets in the Philippines. It integrates the results of the KBA definition process published in 2006 and the identification and delineation of marine KBAs completed in 2009. A total of 228 KBAs are identified for the country, including known habitats of at least 418 globally threatened, 440 endemic or restricted range species and 67 globally significant congregations of mangroves, seaweeds, seagrasses, corals, echinoderms, mollusks, elasmobranchs, freshwater and reef fi shes, reptiles, birds, and mammals.
