One of the world's most unique auctions was held on the evening of September 20, 2007. The international gathering, including HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco and members of the Cousteau family, was there to raise funding for CI's conservation efforts in Indonesia.
With the blessing of the scientists who discovered them, the scientific names of 10 marine species were auctioned. All proceeds from the event were to support capacity building for Indonesian scientists, education initiatives and enforcement efforts, toward our goal of ensuring Indonesia's incredibly diverse marine life continues to thrive.
