Or Shanghai, Shenyang, Guangzhou?

If so, CI’s got just what you need – 20,000 copies of English-language “Green Dining” Guides that help diners “Make Healthy Choices” and “Protect Our Natural Splendor.”

Distributed in major cities across China, the guides help visitors make health-conscious and species-smart choices about what they order, eat and buy.

Linking the illegal trade in animals to a lack of quarantine and hygiene, the guides make the case that protecting your family is protecting the environment – a lesson valuable around the world.

Check out a few good tips below, and then download the brochure.

  • The Ring-necked Pheasant (captive bred) and the Chinese Soft-Shell Turtle (captive bred) are on the Green List. Consuming these captive-bred species will not have a great impact on the wild population.
  • Alligator and Crocodile are on the Yellow List. For health and ecological reasons, we do not suggest choosing them for your dinner table.
  • Sea Horses are on the Dining Guide's Red List. Avoid consuming these species for health, legal and ecological reasons.
